This year instead of writing Christmas cards the old fashioned way, I’ve decided to do things a little differently. There are a couple of people that have made my year truly amazing. MOSS gives me such a deep sense of self-fulfillment and I am so very grateful to the people that help me keep doing what I love to do.
My first thank you shout out goes to Nicole Prevost of Union Rose. Union Rose is a lovely little women’s and children’s clothing and accessories boutique in the neighborhood of Montavilla. MOSS has been a part of the shop a little less than a year but felt right at home the first month we moved in. The shop’s tagline is “Locally made stuff with soul.” Its not just the products that gets that point across but the proprietress herself. Nicole does such a good job of curating and getting to know the designers represented in her shop and she is always so excited about everything she sells. Every time I go in to drop product off, I see her interact with her customers and it always feels as if she is hosting them in her home. She’s always very attentive and takes the time to find out what each person is looking for. And its because of this that I feel MOSS is very well represented in her store. I know that she will find my creations very good homes.

I was very flattered when the Union Rose approached me and asked if I would like to be represented in their store. It’s the kind of store that I would love to have my work in. It’s located in one of my favorite SE Portland neighborhoods, Montavilla. They carry locally designed and produced items ranging from jewelry to clothes for mom and baby (cute cute cute!!!). It’s nice to be included among so many talented artists and designers they carry at the store. And the best part is, they are right next door to Bipartisan Cafe, one of my favorite places for pie and coffee
